上一篇 article 我們介紹了銀行業 middle and back office 中的一些部門包括 risk management, compliance 和 human resources。這次我們將繼續介紹幾個炙手可熱的部門，包括 technology, operations 和 finance ，希望可以幫到大家選擇你們來年的職業規劃和報工方向！
Technology
大家都知道 digitalization 和 automation 是銀行界的大趨勢，Technology 也因此變成了 headcount 多和發展潛力不容小覷的部門。Application development 是其中的一項職責，daily activities 包括收集和分析用戶的要求，開發新的系統，維護現有 統的日常運作。這些系統包括 electronic trading system, risk management analytics system ，產品的 life cycle management system 等等。不僅如此，tech team 還包括 cybersecurity，infrastructure 等其他範疇。Programming skills 是必不可少的技能，Bank of America 要求 Java / EJB’s, C++, .NET, Python, Web，而 Morgan Stanley 要求 Java, C++ / C# 以及Unix / Linux / Windows。
Operations
頂尖投資銀行 operations graduate program 人工都在三萬或以上， 也是很多同學的選擇。Operations常見的team有 trade support ， settlement 和 client onboarding 。Trade support主要負責幫助 sales 和 traders 管理 post-trade activities，包括 P&L report， corporate action bookings 等。Settlement team 顧名思義負責處理股票或現金的清算交割。Client onboarding 要處理大量客戶的文件以確保符合 compliance 的要求，例如 review KYC，tax 和 suitability documents 等。因為需要支持龐大的金融交易業務，operations 要求細心，耐心和團隊合作能力。
Finance
有些同學會問入職了 big 4 有沒有機會回到銀行，其實 finance division 就是最常見及 skillsets 最符合的 exit path。Finance division在銀行裡面一般負責準備 P&L reports，quarterly/ annual reports等，financial reports 代表了公司的performance，是 management，investors 和 regulators 都會關注的。由於投資銀行一般有比較複雜的 structure，以及有很多不同的 entities 在不同的國家，因此 finance 部門對銀行亦是非常重要 (值得留意大部分銀行把 internal audit 和 tax group 也放在 finance division 裡)。對 finance team有興趣的同學，可以好好準備基本的 accounting 及 financial statements 的相關知識去 impress 不少曾在big 4工作過的 interviewers。同學亦可以列出實習經驗中細心謹慎及邏輯嚴謹的例子，展現出你對有關處理大量的數據的工作駕輕就熟。
